Manchester Ceilidh was launched in October 2004 by two of Manchester's best bands, The Maerlock and Triple Scotch, and Simon Dew of the band Jabadaw.
Since then it has set itself up as a not-for-profit organisation, running regular ceilidh nights and helping to establish a vibrant local folk music scene in the South Manchester and the rest of the North West.
Each night kicks off with a jam session followed by two live band slots. They are committed to promoting new, up-and-coming bands and callers.
