Delph, Castleshaw and Harrop Edge Walk

Walk distance - 9 miles

Walk grade - 2

Pub - White Lion, Upermill

Walk details - The walk starts in Delph by the narrow canal, completed in 1811 England 's highest  at the time, and goes through Castleshaw and Harrop Edge which includes an enchanting mix of gritstone mill villages, moorland ridges and endless views. This airy walk strings through the heart of this nebulous hilly area passing a Roman fortlet no less before reaching pretty Dobcross where Hollywood once called. So why stay in on a Spring day and take all of the above in followed by a Sunday lunch and pint.
