North Wales Walk - Cilcain and Moel Famau

A walk along some of the most beautiful scenery in North Wales where you will be led throughout. The walk is of medium difficulty, the assent up Moel Famu can be steep but is not too long. The walk will start from Loggerheads Country Park (just to the west of Mold) Please bring lunch, water, walking boots, waterproofs. The walk is approx 8 miles in length and starts on the attractive Leete path winding through a wooded valley. We then reach the village of Cilcain where we can stop for a drink in the local Pub, before we make the ascent up Moel Famau. Weather permitting the view from the summit is magnificent, and on a clear day you can see Snowdon and beyond. The walk then descends down the Mountain and back to Loggerheads. Aim to meet at approx 9am outside Slug and Lettuce in Didsbury. We will be car sharing so if you don't drive don't worry. If you are willing to drive please let us know so we can gauge how many cars we need. The Social Circle fee for this event is £7.50. Any drinks or food are additional and payable by you.
