We are no longer taking bookings for this event. A show based on the 1980s movie with wannabe Ghostbuster Rick Moranis (otherwise known as The Keymaster). An oddball movie that has inexplicably transferred on to the stage. With stunning reviews to boot! Starring Claire Buckfield, Alex Ferns, Damian Humbley and Sylvester McCoy. Down and out Skid Row floral assistant Seymour becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood. Soon "Audrey II" grows into an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore offering him fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite... but as Audrey II's hungry demands increase, all that Seymour holds dear is threatened as the plant's sinister agenda for global domination is revealed....... One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time, this affectionate spoof of 1950s sci-fi movies has become a house-hold name, thanks to a highly successful film version and a score by the songwriting team of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken. This prolific duo redefined the animated musical film genre with Disney's "The Little Mermaid", "Beauty and the Beast" and "Aladdin." Charming, tuneful and hilarious, with tongue firmly planted in cheek, "Little Shop of Horrors" never fails to entertain. After major refurbishment in 2003 the Opera House continues to attract the best in entertainment, standing proud on Quay Street as a part of Manchester History.
