Socail Circle Manchester: Social and Adventure Network

Special Events

HOME CATEGORIES Special Events
Living in Manchester, we are exposed to one special occasion after the other. But those occasions can be wasted on us without others to enjoy them with. Maybe there's something that you would really like to attend but your friends are not really interested, for example. Well, that's where Social Circle comes in. We love to celebrate special events and feel that they can be a great way to form bonds between people who simply want to make new friends. Whether it's Manchester Day or New Year's Eve, Social Circle loves to celebrate the occasion, and your presence makes it all the more worthwhile.

Simply Health Run

I went to the Simply Health run (okay I confess, I was watching rather than taking part) and was taken back by the atmosphere. I'd only been in Manchester for just over a month and had literally joined Social Circle days earlier. I was watching with some of the other girls from Social Circle and we had a great time cheering on the runners.

Chinese New Year Parade

I went to watch the parade for Chinese New Year and was really impressed with all of the effort that went into it. I like to appreciate other cultures and this enabled me to do just that while getting to know some of the other members at Social Circle. We all enjoyed the spectacle, as we did the meal and drinks afterwards. A great afternoon.

Halloween Party With Social Circle

I hadn't done anything for Halloween since my son was at school, so it felt a bit weird going to a Halloween party at my age. I dressed up as the witch from the Wizard of Oz and actually won best dressed prize, so it was worth going just for that. And yes, I admit, I had a really fun time. I may just make this an annual thing.

Celebrations

Social Circle and Manchester love to celebrate, and what else is more Mancunian than Manchester Day? The city also boasts perhaps the most popular Gay Pride event in the UK. Whatever there is to celebrate, you can bet we'll be there.

Music Festivals

We have some fantastic music festivals here in Manchester, with Parklife being the most renowned of all. Having carved out a prominent reputation in the UK's North West music scene, the huge the eclectic music festival has gone from strength to strength.

Festivities

We have numerous events around the festive period, such as the Santa Pub Crawl, and always offer a New Year's Eve event to remember. A Boxing Day walk and lunch is also popular with many of our members who enjoy meeting new people while walking off their Christmas calories.
