Join expert tutor Graham Nobles, who will show you how to get best from your digital camera. A range of sessions are available throughout the year so enroll now to discover the essential skills of good photography.

The one-day workshop 'Explore Your Digital Camera - Get Off Auto' is
designed especially with the novice in mind. It is aimed at those who
may be new to photography, have a new camera to get to grips with or
those who are wanting to take more creative control in their
picture-making.

During the day, we will be taking a look at what makes a 'correct'
exposure; Depth of Field and how to control and use it to good effect in
your pictures, from sharp landscape shots to blurry-background
portraits; what makes a good composition; how to avoid camera-shake by
controlling the shutter speed... and more.

The workshop includes a hands-on practical session where we take you
through the functions of the camera, a short outdoor session and a
further longer practical assignment session so that you have the
opportunity to put what you have learned into practise. We finish with a
review session where we take a look at our images and discuss what went
well and whether there are any areas where improvement can be made.
Usually by the end of the day our beginners are talking about
'apertures' and 'depth of field' like seasoned photographers!
